Our Commitment to You
Every Dachshund puppy from Royal Dachshund Puppies receives:
- A full veterinary health check before adoption
- Up-to-date vaccinations & deworming
- Lifetime breeder support for questions or concerns
We carefully screen all prospective homes to ensure our puppies thrive in their forever families. However, if unforeseen situations arise, we offer the following options:
Refund & Return Guidelines
1. 48-Hour Adjustment Period
If, within 48 hours of taking your puppy home, you feel they are not the right fit, you may:
- Exchange for another available puppy (of equal or lesser value)
- Receive a partial refund (minus a $250 rehoming fee)
Note: The puppy must be returned in the same healthy condition, with all provided documents.
2. After 48 Hours
Beyond the initial period, we do not offer refunds but remain committed to helping you:
- Provide training/behavioral guidance
- Assist with rehoming (we will help find a suitable new family at no extra charge)
3. Health-Related Returns
If your puppy develops a covered hereditary condition within the 1-year health guarantee period, please refer to our Health Guarantee Policy for replacement options.
Non-Refundable Situations
To protect the welfare of our puppies, we cannot issue refunds for:
- Change of heart after 48 hours
- Allergies or housing issues discovered post-adoption
- Injury/illness due to owner negligence
- Routine care costs (vaccines, grooming, etc.)
How to Request a Refund or Exchange
- Contact Us Immediately – Email/call within 48 hours of adoption.
- Return Puppy Safely – We’ll arrange a stress-free return (transport costs may apply).
- Complete Documentation – Provide vet records if health is a concern.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds if we suspect neglect or unethical motives. Our goal is to ensure every Dachshund has a loving, permanent home—if you’re struggling, we’d rather help you succeed than process a return.
